The Criminal Defence Service which from 2nd April 2001 replaced the old system of criminal legal aid and provides criminal services to people accused of crimes.CLS

DOBSONS Solicitors - Graham Dobson

GRAHAM DOBSON BA (Hons)

Graham left School at 15 years of age. He returned to higher education at age 19 and after turning down an Army Commission in favour of a place at University, qualified as a Solicitor after completing his law degree at Sheffield University. He attended Law School at the College of Law, served Articles with Anthony Blok, an eminent Criminal Defence Solicitor, and was admitted by the Law Society as a Solicitor in March 1977.

Graham worked for Sears Blok and Michael Sears & Co Solicitors in London before joining Good Good & Co Solicitors in September 1977, having specialised in criminal defence litigation since February 1975.

Graham won the West London Law Society Prize in 1975 for having achieved the highest examination mark in his Law Society final examination.

After retiring as Senior Partner in Good, Good & Co, Graham established DOBSONS Solicitors in January 1989. Graham was a founder member of the Duty Solicitor Schemes and continues as an active member of those Schemes.

Graham is a Life Governor of Cancer Research UK, previously the Imperial Cancer Research fund, and sits as both Chairman and Member of the Legal Services Commission's Funding Review, Costs, and Contracts Compliance Committees. He is a Conciliator for the Solicitors Regulatory Authority.

Graham has been a solicitor for over 30 years and specialises in serious and high profile cases and in miscarriage of Justice cases. He is on the panel of Solicitors for the Criminal Cases Review Commission.
